CONSTIUUTION OF THE HONG KONG

PORT TRUST

4. (1) For the purpose of carrying out the

provisions of this Ordinance, there shall be

constituted a Hong Kong Port Trust which shall

consist of ten commissioners to be appointed by the

Governor in manner following

(a)

one

commissioner shall be appointed

Chairman of the Port Trust and shall preside

over meetings of the Commissioners.

(b) three commissioners shall be permanent

government officials, (in this Ordinance ré-

ferred to as "official commissioners".)

(c) two commissioners shall be identified with

such interests likely to be affected by the

administration of this Ordinance as the

Governor may think advisable: Provided that

at least one shall be of Chinese race.

(a) three commissioners shall be appointed by

the Governor on the nomination of the General

Chamber of Commerce.

(e) one commissioner shall be appointed by the

Governor on the nomination of the Chinese

Chamber of Commerce.

(2) Commissioners appointed under paragraphs (c)

(a) and (e) of the preceding subsection are in this

Ordinance referred to as "nominated commissioners".

OR ALTERNATIVELY

(c) six commissioners shall be identified with

such interests concerned with the administra-

tion of this Ordinance as the Governor may

think advisable: Provided that not less than

two shall be of Chinese race.
